Meet Jesse Sanford

I am a proud father and husband, and my journey in tennis started over 26 years ago when my eldest daughter expressed her desire to play after watching a thrilling match between Venus Williams and Martina Hingis at the 1997 U.S. Open. At the time, I had no tennis experience, but I was eager to learn and support my daughter’s passion.

I started teaching my daughter tennis when she was just five years old, and within two years, she had already won her first tournament in only her fourth event. In just seven months, she became the Lil Mo’ National Champion, a remarkable achievement for someone so young. This was just the beginning of her incredible tennis journey.

Over the years, my daughter went on to win numerous tournaments at the local and national level. She achieved the top ranking in several age divisions in the U.S. and was even part of the USTA High Performance Team. By the time she was 14, she was ranked number one in every age group in the Southern California Section, including the girls’ 18’s. She went on to play for Baylor University, where she reached the NCAA year-end singles and doubles events and won three Big 12 titles.

My younger daughter is also a promising tennis player who has already won multiple tournaments and is on a similar trajectory as her older sister. Seeing my daughters excel in tennis has fueled my passion for the sport and inspired me to teach others so that they too can achieve great things in tennis.

Overall, my journey in tennis has been an incredible experience that has brought my family together and created lasting memories. I am grateful for the opportunities that tennis has provided for my daughters and for the chance to share my knowledge and passion for the sport with others.
